I Don’t Noro How I Did This

Noro Scarf

Decided to venture out on my own a try a scarf pattern that has been popular on Ravelry.

It’s simply garter stitch so it makes for super-easy TV knitting.
Let’s be honest now, isn’t that what we are all really after? Some brain-numbing, drool-inducing activity?

I can see already that I’ll knit up a lot more of these scarves. I chose a Noro yarn for this project because the diagonal pattern practically begs for it. However, I am struggling with the feel of the yarn. A tad bit too rough for my liking. Feels like my legs if I haven’t shaved for a week. Not exactly the kind of thing you want rubbing all over your face and neck. Well, unless you’re into that sort of thing, then maybe it is exactly the kind of feel you want your scarf yarn to have. I’m sure there is some kind of Google or Yahoo group for that.

Moving on.

I’ve heard that it softens quite a bit after washing – let’s hope this is true.

UPDATE: I finished this scarf around Christmas. After a good wash it did soften up some. Love the length – almost Dr. Who-long!
