Didn’t we all want to be Marcia when we were kids? But then I grew up and realized that the Marcia’s of the world, while perhaps pretty on the outside, ain’t always so good lookin’ on the inside! They are all about the labels, pretension and fakery. Me? I’ll take Beaufort anytime!

You know, I’ve been thinking. Beaufort and Pooler are a lot alike. All that competition from Hilton Head and Charleston has gotta be hard on a little town. Me? I always had a secret desire to be Alice. Got to live in a fancy house, got cheap meat, and did we ever see her actually clean anything? Ha!
